On Thursday, November 13, AMFF Ambassador Scott Biron joined Curator Jim Schottenham for an educational look at a fly tied by New Hampshire’s premier streamer fly tier, Jim Warner. Scott is an active fly-tying instructor and is a popular attraction when presenting his instructional tying lessons at national, international and regional shows. Scott and Jim discussed the history behind one of Warner’s more elusive flies, the Lake Smelt. In addition to breaking down the materials used in its construction, Scott demonstrated how to tie this unique pattern.
