Fin-Nor Wedding Cake Fly Reel

Designed by Gar Wood Jr. for Fin-Nor, the Wedding Cake series of reels has a distinctive tiered design. Cataloged in three sizes—a small No. 1 for trout, a No. 2 for salmon, and a large No. 3 for tarpon—these reels were the first built specifically for saltwater use. Introduced in 1960, the new fly reel featured what the company called a “full circle” disc drag system.
