E.W. Edwards (Connecticut)
6-strip bamboo
Eustis William “Bill” Edwards apprenticed with Hiram Leonard. His own rod company was variously located in his home state of Maine, as well as New York and finally Connecticut. He pioneered the tempering process that brought Tonkin cane into favor as the “cane of choice” over Calcutta cane.
