On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1 p.m. EDT, AMFF Ambassador Scott Biron will join Curator Jim Schottenham for an educational look at a fly tied by New Hampshire’s premier streamer fly tier, Jim Warner. Scott is an active fly-tying instructor and is a popular attraction when presenting his instructional tying lessons at national, international and regional shows. Scott and Jim will discuss the history behind Warner’s signature fly, the Winnipesaukee smelt. In addition to breaking down the materials used in its construction, Scott will also demonstrate how to tie this unique pattern.
